In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
