Beloved Actor The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at 60 Years Old.
Stateside performer Finn, who was seen in popular programs including "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor died at home in Los Angeles on Monday following treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, as reported by media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his family said in a message.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
A Prolific TV Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, portraying a party host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, like:
- King of Queens
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
He was most recognized for playing the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.
He was part of a six-member improv team called Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired countless students throughout the years and it would be difficult to find someone who has an unkind word to say about him," his family wrote.
Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," Kind wrote online.
Pat Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
