British Culture Secretary to Convene Meeting on Israeli Football Club Fan Ban
The law enforcement official from the central England region has requested an urgent reexamination of the decision to prohibit Maccabi Tel Aviv's fans from being present at the upcoming game.
The commissioner, who supervises the force, explains that this appeal aims to verify whether the prohibition is suitable, essential, justified, sensible, and a proportionate measure to achieve a legitimate aim.
"That must include consideration of every and any possible appropriate, other choices," Foster adds.
He has also requested to review the official ruling and recommendation from the safety committee, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
He stresses, however, that the final decision belongs to the advisory group and the authorities.
