The House investigative committee has released a set of approximately 70 images from the estate of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third such publication from a cache of over 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's holdings. It includes photographs of quotes from the novel Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and obscured images of women's international passports.

This disclosure comes hours before the 19th of December due date for the DOJ to make public all files associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These new photos pose more questions about precisely what the DOJ has in its holdings," stated the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Made Public

Several of the photos made public on this week show Epstein conversing with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing beside a woman whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a table facing Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent wealthy, powerful men to be seen in Epstein estate photos released by the House Oversight Committee - formerly disclosed photos also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the images is does not constitute evidence of any misconduct, and a number of the pictured men have said they were never involved in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a statement issued alongside the image release, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not offer explanatory details or dates for the pictures.

"Photographs were selected to provide the public with transparency into a illustrative selection of the images obtained from the estate, and to offer understanding into Epstein's network and his exceptionally disturbing behavior," the statement states.

The publication also contains multiple photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in ink across several locations of a woman's body, including her torso, foot, pelvis, and rear. Lolita narrates the story of a young girl who was manipulated by a older literature professor.

A particular passage from the book written across a woman's upper body states, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of photos of women's passports and ID papers from nations globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the data on the IDs, including names and birth dates, is redacted but the panel said in a statement that the passports belong to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were engaging".

Another photograph shows Epstein seated at a workstation in close proximity surrounded by three individuals whose faces have been redacted - a first has her palm on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and another is crouching to look at a close-by device. Epstein appears to be helping the third individual attach a wristband.

An additional photograph released is a capture of text messages from an unknown person who claims they have been sent "several females" and are demanding "$one thousand dollars per female".

Image Release Occurs Ahead of DOJ Deadline

The panel has thousands of images in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its statement on Thursday clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein estate provided to the panel are distinct from what is commonly termed "Epstein-related records". That material are papers under the Department of Justice's control associated with its own probe into Epstein.

In accordance with the Transparency Act, which Donald Trump signed into law last month, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its records. The scope of the contents contained in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's probable that much of the information will be extensively obscured, akin to Congressional materials
