Netflix Casts Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
The platform declared this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. This character can use their power to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a interpretation of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.
Escola will work alongside multiple fresh additions who will portray the group to the screen, including head the main antagonist, played by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as a key member, and a familiar face, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a important part of the group, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
