The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The influential industry figure passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
