The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the title's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely considered as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a intense sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol
