The Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to Your Zodiac Sign

The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the title's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as always angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong ally; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely considered as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a intense sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. According to the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Oh, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being too fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, even if for aliens.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
