English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
