Former President Trump revealed on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the presidential home.
He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were âheartbrokenâ.

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was fatally shot in a violent incident on last Wednesday in Washington DC.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

The president explained heâs proposed a White House visit for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
âI told them: âWhen youâre ready, because thatâs a hard experience, arrive at the White House. Weâre going to recognize her,â Trump told the press. âAnd likewise with Andrew, no matter the outcome.â

Community members came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in West Virginia to remember Beckstrom.
Both the soldiers had been working with the military unit as part of the presidentâs government program to aid law enforcement in the capital.

âSarah was the individual that instructors desired. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that lifted those around her,â Hankins, the leader of her previous school, stated to the press. âShe was sweet, caring and always willing to assist people.â

Authorities have charged a 29-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and charges of violent assault while armed.
The incident prompted the Trump administration to pause refugee claims and halt providing visas to owners of passports from Afghanistan.
Status of Andrew Wolfe
Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, enlisted in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the AP.
He remains under medical supervision and is âin a critical fightâ, the stateâs leader Patrick Morrisey said on a news program.
The stateâs top lawyer Bondi informed the program that she planned to speak to Wolfeâs family.
Memory of the Fallen Soldier
Beckstrom, from Summersville, completed her education from her high school in mid-2023 and began her service not long after, working as a law enforcement officer with distinction, per the state guard.
âShe had a lot of goodness and she definitely had fortitude,â he informed the crowd at the vigil. âThough her time lasted far too short, she has created a legacy thatâs going to last forever.â
