The new mission comes amid growing concern about Britain's vulnerability to online disruptions and digital assaults.

Recent situations have highlighted these risks, including a major outage affecting worldwide digital services and latest online threats that halted manufacturing at significant plants and distribution networks across various businesses.

A previous senior officer of the the nation's space operations center will provide findings next month on how the publicly-supported center can best support the scale of government AI ambitions in defense, national security and intelligence.

Organizational Refocusing

The organization's leader, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that nearly eighty separate studies at the organization with 440 employees have been closed, spun out or finished because they fail to match with the fresh focus.
